Nufactor® Announces 2016 Annual Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship Recipients
Press Release for Aug 10, 2016 - Download
Nufactor, the specialty pharmacy of FFF Enterprises, Inc., has announced the 10 recipients of the 2016 Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship. The scholarship was created in remembrance of Eric Dostie, a boy with hemophilia who was tragically murdered on August 27, 1994, at the young age of 5. Eric inspired many lives with his uplifting joy, humor and unending love. His family recalls his aspirations of becoming a scientist and inventing a cure for hemophilia in the form of a “chocolate pill.”
Founded in 1994, the Eric Dostie Memorial Scholarship has supported many bright and talented students in reaching their goals of higher education. Scholarship candidates are required to submit an essay describing how their education will be used to serve humanity and encourage self-improvement and enrichment. Every year, the recipients are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service and financial need.
“It is enlightening to learn about the goals and aspirations of each of these students. I congratulate all of them and hope that, in Eric’s honor, this scholarship provides motivation for them to achieve their educational and career path goals,” says Patrick M. Schmidt, chief executive officer of FFF Enterprises.
This year’s recipients, each awarded a scholarship of $1,000 for education expenses, include Taha Ahmed, Breanna Bucco, Victoria Canton, Calvin Dutcher, Kenadie Hamblin, Mackenzie Hebert, Justin Horbacz, Malia Jackson, Angela Kessler and Mitchell Zeiter.
Nufactor will begin accepting applications for the 2017 scholarships on November 1, 2016. Visit the Nufactor Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship website to learn more about the program and to request an application. Or call (800) 323-6832 for additional information.
