FFF Enterprises Receives Additional Flu Vaccine

December 28, 2005 Media Release

TEMECULA, Calif. — FFF Enterprises Inc., FFF Enterprises Inc., a healthcare corporation based in Temecula, Calif., today announced they have additional influenza vaccine, available for both children and adults.

Southern California, Arizona, Utah, and Texas are only a few of many states currently experiencing moderate to high levels of influenza outbreaks, according to FluSTAR.com, a comprehensive influenza surveillance network sponsored by Roche Laboratories, Inc.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that the influenza season does not peak in the United States until January or later, making vaccination beneficial into December and January. Last year, late-season vaccination proved effective when flu activity didn't peak until February. As a result, healthcare providers are encouraged to contact FFF if they need additional supply; and people who have been unable to obtain a flu shot are encouraged to contact their providers.

"We are pleased to be able to offer flu vaccine to healthcare providers who are still seeking to obtain additional doses for the 2005-2006 season, particularly for CDC-designated high-risk patient populations and healthcare professionals with direct patient care," said Patrick M. Schmidt, FFF's president and CEO. "Our goal is to ensure that as many people as possible are protected against the influenza virus, because this saves lives."

"FFF Enterprises is committed to the CDC goal and to our Guaranteed Channel Integrity mission, purchasing flu vaccine from manufacturers only and shipping only to healthcare providers," said Schmidt. "This assures the safest channel for this important vaccine."

Every year in the United States on average, 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu and about 36,000 people die from it, according to the CDC, whose long-range goal is 100% vaccination of the U.S. population.
