The moderately severe 2025-26 flu season continues, with activity up 18 percent in week 3 of 2026, according to the most recent data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC estimates 20 million illnesses, 270,000 hospitalizations, and 11,000 deaths from flu so far this season.
