Influenza Vaccines - 2026-27 Trivalent Influenza Vaccines
If the current season is any indication, it's never too early to reserve influenza vaccines for the 2026-27 season. According to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been at least 28 million illnesses, 360,000 hospitalizations, and 22,000 deaths from flu (115 reported pediatric) so far.
CDC states this was the third-highest cumulative hospitalization rate overall since the 2010-11 season. Children under age 18 had the second-highest cumulative hospitalization rate for their age group since 2010-11. In other news, the World Health Organization (WHO) recently made their 2026-27 flu vaccine composition recommendations for the northern hemisphere.
COVID-19 Vaccines - 2026-27 Season Offerings
CDC reports COVID activity currently is decreasing across the US but is elevated in some areas. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine remains important for patients since protection from the vaccine as well as immunity from a COVID infection decrease with time, CDC notes. Take a look at our COVID-19 product page.
NEW AT FFF: Although not a vaccine, PEMGARDA® (pemivibart) Injection by Invivyd, Inc. is now available through FFF. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the emergency use of the unapproved product PEMGARDA (pemivibart), a SARS-CoV-2 spike protein-directed attachment inhibitor, for the pre-exposure prophylaxis of COVID-19 in adults and adolescents (12 years of age and older weighing at least 40 kg). Prescribing information for PEMGARDA available here.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
CDC's data illustrates that RSV activity is beginning later than expected this season in most areas around the country. As a result, CDC anticipates that RSV may continue into April for many areas. RSV hospitalizations and ED visits are highest among children under age 4. View FFF's RSV vaccine product page for more information.
Travel Vaccines - Vaccine Access
Summer travel plans are on the horizon. Prepare your patients with recommended and required immunizations — from typhoid and cholera to hepatitis A and B — so they can enjoy their vacations worry-free.
For more on recommendations, visit the CDC's Yellow Book for healthcare professionals. CDC currently lists three Level 2 Travel Health Notices, including yellow fever in Venezuela, chikungunya in Mayotte, and circulating poliovirus in some international destinations. Also visit the World Health Organization's Disease Outbreak News for the latest concerns.
Adult Vaccines - An Expanding Portfolio
When it comes to adult immunizations for diseases like shingles or pneumococcal, FFF has you covered. Take a look at our adult vaccine product page. Visit the CDC for adult immunization schedules.
Pediatric Vaccines - For Youth Immunization
