Immunoglobulin (IG) Shortage 2019

How you can get the care you need

August 9, 2019

As many in the immune globulin (IG) community are aware, there is currently a shortage of IG, a plasma product used to treat various types of immunodeficiency and autoimmune diseases.

In the video, "Immune Globulin (IG) Shortage 2019," hosted by Myositis Support & Understanding, presenters Patrick M. Schmidt, chief executive officer of FFF Enterprises, and Michelle B. Vogel, vice president of patient advocacy and provider relations CSI Pharmacy, explain the IG shortage details, which are both complex and dynamic.

Although the shortage is not expected to be a long-term problem, many patients, both children and adults, are having to go without their needed IG therapy.
