CSL Seqirus Flucelvax Quad PFS Approved for Persons 4 Years of Age and Older

CSL Seqirus recently announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Flucelvax Quadrivalent for people 4 years of age and older. Flucelvax Quad has also been approved as a latex-free product, unlike its previous trivalent formulation that stated, "may contain latex." According to Gordon Naylor, President of Seqirus, Flucelvax Quad is the "first and only cell culture-derived seasonal influenza vaccine in the U.S. to offer four-strain flu protection for people aged 4 years and older."

Flucelvax Quad is an inactivated vaccine indicated for the active immunization for the prevention of influenza disease caused by influenza virus subtypes A and type B contained in the vaccine, and is approved for use in persons 4 years of age and older. Flucelvax Quad is a cell culture-derived flu vaccine that is antibiotic, preservative and latex free.
