Sales Development Representative I, Acute Care

Location:

Remote (Pacific Time Zone)

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development of bio-pharmaceutical product sales to select, physicians, pharmacies and clinics within their respective territory. In addition, the position will be responsible for supporting the Territory Manager and Acute Care Client Manager in their respective territory in a team effort to increase revenues and customer count by augmenting the Territory Manager’s efforts. Also, this position will be asked to perform special projects such as the introduction of new products to special markets or telephonically support the company’s flu vaccine sales.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Grow business in respective territories by focusing on Acute Care and Plasma sector of potential customers that are not being serviced by Territory Managers Customer base will consist of current Acute care and Plasma accounts as assigned, dormant or non-active accounts, accounts that have yet to purchase from FFF.
  • Develop and maintain a partnership with all of the internal staff including Customer Service, Accounting, Warehouse staff, Support staff, and Purchasing.
  • Employees working from a home office must document and accomplish a minimum of 15 quality calls for each day in the quarter that they are not traveling. (quality calls described as conversations between Sales Rep and customer whereas there is progress in the sales process. (VM and Emails are excluded).
  • Attend select regional and national sales meetings.
  • Attend select regional tradeshows in territory.
  • Attend national tradeshows as directed by supervisor. Attend all business functions at tradeshows.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all products and services.
  • Maintain and utilize training manual and other collateral.
  • Support efforts in the introduction of new products that are subsequently added to the FFF portfolio.
  • Work closely with Customer Service/AR for new account set-up and receivables management.
  • Utilize standard computer software systems for daily tracking of sales; follow up on orders, review account status, pricing, allocations and credit information. The computer is also used daily for e-mail and contact management.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and service quality to internal and external customers, and employee relations.
  • Work within approved budget; Develop and implement cost saving measures.
  • Support the Company’s Compliance and Safety programs by ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures. Lead by example.
  • Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
  • Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance at all times.

  • Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.

Dimension:

This position is responsible for the development of new revenues in their respective territories. Revenues will be a result of sales generated by new accounts and non-active accounts. The potential increased revenues could add materially to the overall FFF operating plan of nearly $2 Billion in sales revenues.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study preferred.

Required Knowledge:

  • Understand and internalize the Company’s purpose; Display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.
  • Computer knowledgeable.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Display enthusiasm and dedication to learning how to be more effective on the job and share knowledge with others.

Required Experience:

  • Proven track record of at least two (2) years of successful Inside sales/Tele-marketing experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Medical sales experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.

Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
