Account Manager for Southwestern Region

This regular full-time position reports to the Senior Director of Hemophilia Sales. Preferred candidates will be based in California; however, qualified applicants living in major cities in the respective regions will be considered.

The Account Manager, who plays an integral role on the NuFACTOR® Specialty Pharmacy Team, is responsible for generating positive revenue and growth as assigned in a defined geographic territory and for achieving goals as agreed upon by management.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and successfully manage a Territory Management Plan.
  • Routinely conduct sales calls to referring physician offices, nurses, case managers, hospitals, discharge planners.
  • Sell and promote NuFACTOR Specialty Pharmacy services to referring physicians, nurses, insurers, case managers, hospitals, clinics and discharge planners.
  • Make at least 8 to 12 sales calls a day to referring physician offices, case managers and discharge planners.
  • Attend local, regional and national events and tradeshows, as assigned.
  • Effectively manage all internal and external communications.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes, service quality to internal and external customers.
  • Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by always working in a safe manner and immediately reporting any injury, safety hazard, or program violation.
  • Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the Company.   Immediately report any concerns or violations.
  • Display dedication to the position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
  • Acquire new patient referrals and achieves successful patient pull-through in a geographic region.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in related healthcare industry, including management, sales, clinic services, or customer service.
  • Prefer three to five years’ experience in hemophilia or similar chronic disorder. Excellent understanding of chronic disease states such as Hemophilia, Primary Immune Deficiency, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy and all other disease states treated with IG.
  • Excellent Communication skills. Ability to participate on and work as an integral member of a unique team. Ability to travel 30%-70% of the time, usually overnight travel of two to four days per week.
  • Understanding of case manager/insurer/patient dynamic and able to effectively pull-through business in complex referral situations.
  • Must be extremely customer-focused and portray a “can-do” approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and information and maintain appropriate professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and rearrange priorities as needed.
  • Must employ excellent judgment and professionalism at all times.
  • Understand and internalize the company’s purpose; display loyalty to the company and its organizational values.
