FFF Enterprises is honored to have been awarded a contract by the State of California Department of General Services for the distribution of flu vaccine for the 2007-2008 influenza season. FFF will distribute approximately 570,000 doses, including Novartis Vaccines’ Fluvirin (5mL, 10 dose vial), and sanofi pasteur’s Fluzone (5mL, 10-dose vial) to California’s Department of Health Services Immunization Branch and regional health departments throughout the state.

“We are pleased to have been selected by the State of California for the third consecutive year to supply flu vaccine to our public health agencies,” said Patrick M. Schmidt, president and CEO of FFF Enterprises. “We also appreciate the nation’s growing understanding of the need to vaccinate as many people as possible to prevent the life-threatening complications of influenza.”

According to the CDC, every year in the United States, on average, 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications and about 36,000 people die from flu. The CDC recommends vaccination as the best prevention against the flu and its serious complications.
